israel has likely modified (big modifications of course) its submarines to fire nuclear missiles.

Modifying them to launch ICBM's like our Trident would be impossible, the boats simply aren't big enough. On the other hand, some cruise missiles can be launched through standard torpedo tubes. We have built nuclear cruise missiles, there is no reason why Israel couldn't. Very minor modification to the sub.
