That's a worthy cause for sure. I hope (and trust -s) gold will come through for you and meet those targets.

That's great.....unfortunately fighting cancer is big business and profits are involved so they prefer remedies to actual cures.

We are all fighting death and need to take personal responsibility for what we put into our bodies......that is the biggest thing people can do to prevent cancer and other disease....by living right and eating healthy goes a long way to happiness and health.

What makes me happy is competitive bass fishing.....I can no longer self sponsor due to the economy. Like every pro says on stage they wouldn't be there without the financial support of their sponsors.

I hope to raise some financial support to fish all nine Bassmaster Opens in 2013, that's the Southern, Central and Northern Divisions, The top five anglers in points in each of the three divisions qualify for the Bassmaster Elites that's the big leagues. I'm confident I can make it next year with some corporate financial support. Just the entry fees are $11,250, The Northern and Southern Opens cost more to fish because of the distance we have to drive cross country. I have until November to raise some sponsors so I can register for all of the 2013 Opens. If anyone can turn me on to some business contacts that are willing to support my efforts it would be appreciated. I've invested everything I have over the last five years to get to where I am now....I'm ready to take the last step but can't do it on my own. I'll need to raise a little more but maybe I'll get the results I need to be successful in my bid to qualify and that will carry me the rest of the way...I know I'm that close....I wish I could have continued to self sponsor...but, this market has sucked, you can't really call it investing anymore.

We get an awful lot of exposure everywhere we go with our wrapped boats plus if you do good you get lots more coverage and media attention brought to your products and causes.....in a sense this is an investment, the gamble is, do you believe I can reach my goals, you don't have to win just rank high in two or three events...but, winning is where the money is and of course an automatic ticket to the Bassmaster Classic which is the Superbowl of fishing and a sponsors new product gold mine showcase that's the ultimate goal. I have one chance this year to qualify by winning the Bassmaster Weekend Series National Championship on Sam Rayburn in November, almost my home lake. I'm working on qualifying now. I just need a top 40 finish at the Regional on Wright Patman, TX in October to make it to Nationals...I'm good at fishing Texas lakes.

Here is the minimum I need to raise....I've been spending about $27K of my stock market funds every year for the last 5 yrs to get this experience and master the art of competitive fishing....that's why I'm now out of the market. I went all in on the fishing and came up a little short, what can I say, fishing is hard frustrating work.

LOL....I guess this is #1 on my bucket list, it was always my goal to reach the top before my body couldn't do it....I should have started this passion before the age of 50, I just turned 56 so I think I can make it before I'm 58. What other sport can you do that?<g>

BTW, I'm glad my local Oklahoma friend won his 2nd Open this year on Ft. Gibson yesterday...he made it to the FLW pros a couple years ago and just qualified for the 2013 Bassmaster Elites and the Bassmaster Classic....He's made it big in just three years! Congrats Jason Christie....I have a bunch of friends that have been making it the last few years....I'm next with your help.....><jj>
