He voted for Obama and is indeed a lefty, but very confused in general.

Cuban says he voted for Barack Obama and likes him, “but he’s obviously done a lot of things wrong. I think he was dealt a bad hand when he took over, but I think at some level he was too smart for his good.”

In particular, he faulted Obama for relying too much on the advice of corporate executives, who are “all about earnings per share, … all about squeezing out one last nickel,” and not enough on entrepreneurs and business innovators.

“He brought in people who he thought were best of breed, but they were so big and so removed that I don’t think he got advice that could help this country at all,” Cuban says..

At the same time, he doesn’t seem to be a big fan of Mitt Romney’s.

I've heard that too, but perhaps Mark Cuban isn't as liberal as has been reported.

Mark Cuban, owner, Dallas Mavericks - The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand.

It was incredibly motivating to me. It encouraged me to think as an individual, take risks to reach my goals, and responsibility for my successes and failures. I loved it. I don't know how many times I have read it, but it got to the point where I had to stop because I would get too fired up.
