fact check this: watched virtually all of the Republican convention. They were able to cover their lack of empathy by touting a few admirable things some of them had done over their years of living but the thing that stood out clearly from the overall convention was that many of them were the mean kids in high school. The kids who would pass by the chubby kid, the bad hair kid, the awkward kid or the shy kid and one of them would say something and then they would laugh...and everyone knew that a derogatory comment had been made at the expense of that passerby.

That's the part of his personality that Romney's shows with his dismissive laugh and his knowing smirks when he says such things as "Obama said he would slow the rise of the ocean."

Do you wish to assert that Obama is the fiscally prudent president? Perhaps that he has the solutions to our runaway deficit spending, but O those mean high school Republicans...? You know, since they had the House this last year, why, poor Obama has just faced the party of 'No,' and has really been hamstrung. They even laughed that he said he was going to stop the oceans from rising. And they doubt that he would stop our deficits from rising, if only we had all three branches of the government and could do more good stuff like health care with back room deals. O, those high schoolers are so mean, mean, mean. LOL

How much of the 5 trillion shortfall was already built into the budget when he took office?

From your supplied article, which I will quote for the moment:

"And the Congressional Budget Office now projects that it will grow to more than $16 trillion by the end of the current fiscal year on Sept. 30. At that point, the debt will have increased by more dollars in Obama’s first four years than it did in George W. Bush’s entire eight-year tenure, when it rose by $4.9 trillion. The rise under Obama would then be the biggest dollar increase for any president in U.S. history."

Why don't we quibble over the 5 trillion, and who is responsible, and ignore the 16 trillion? Is that what you wish to do?

Do you use any other factcheck sites, or just ones associated with the Annenberg Foundation, the Clintons, and other liberals?
