Kemp passed away in 2009. And in all fairness the Dems didn't have Mondale or Dukakis up there either. I don't know if Gore is considered welcome these days or not. Lieberman probably not so much, LOL. But I saw a brief Carter clip despite the fact he was a mild disaster as a president, and Kerry is still playing a strong role as a forceful senator.

I suppose the Reps would have been happy to prop up Reagan on stage somehow if they could, except all the pundits would start listing the many, many things he did that would be heresy in today's Republican party.
