meathead, I said that I don't buy the IDC versions..
too expensive..got a system one only
but, video conferencing isn't high on the list of the avg or even caught up MIS vp's.
bandwidth is the issue there not pc.
we do CBT now on p166's not with no prob.
question, if all this cpu processer power is needed then why did cpq have to ask intel to keep the p166 and p200 chip around....
becasue we said we don't want it to go away.
i was told at the beginning of the summer that the p166 was being phased out by cpq and I could have one of the last ones<ggg>
I wish I had a tape of that from the dealer.
it's still here..you can't kill it..

the other 10% needs all this power ..90% doesn't and that is why the p166 and p200 is still here...
ask yourself..why are those two still here...
dell has them and cpq has them????????

meathead, $500 a week gets you their news releases to the public.. that is just advertising.
most their stuff is thousands for the real neat stuff.
i read those words in a news release via email some tme ago.

i get every news release as part of quote.com.
it's about 1000 a day...
I did read it...and I think that by power and features they are talking about p166 to p200 for 90% of the users and p266 and p300 and up for all super users and engrs.
To these guys a p200 is super hot.
I can find where intel was asked to keep the lower speeds in supply.
