The polls that show Obama doing adequately tend ot oversample democrats in amounts similar to four years ago when there was more democrat interest than there is now. Republicans are far more motivated to get to the polls. Four years ago the Republican candidate was a liberal. This time the known alternative is so bad that McCain could beat Obama. Instead of a liberal Governor Romney has tacked left when it was what was required in his then current situation. HE has tacked right when that was most prudent. He nominated the man most likely to be able to preside over the dismantling of the nanny state as his VP. Even wingnuts know that Obamanomics is not sustainable. They are secretly hoping Obama is defeated. Even the massive fraud that Holder and the remnants of ACORN have planned for November won't be enough.
