paul, the research shows that china, japan, europe wnat the 1k box... you can either say we aren't going to give it to you or convince them to change their minds or sell it to them. cpq tried to change china and japan..they couldn't so now the 1k is selling great.it's the same in Europe.

paul, cpq sub 800 pc is a complete farmout after they set the project up... So, this is gravy money and if it was killing them on higher sales.. then margins would not be going up... they lose some sales buy let's face it. cpq rasied their margins allot more than dell did this last qtr. and that included dells server sells increasing allot. dell's margins are great... but why did they barely move this qtr??????????? and why did cpq's go up so much when we know that they sold a pot full of sub 800 and sub1000 pc's..why of why..... have you figured it out yet... You have to be wrong when you say " no one knows the margins on these low cost pcs"???? think a second... they should make a financial analsyst start out in the stockroom and work his way up for 20 yrs in a corporation....then let him be a fin. analyst<ggggggg> alittle grease never hurt anyone.
