Obama's poll numbers rose right after the debt debacle, I remember it well. Go back and look. Nope. Actually, they have been trending down since April, not March......from a high of 48% to 44% just before the Dem convention.: Yes, he lets the country catch up before he takes a position. But that is not leadership. Leaders should shape policy. Look what happened when Obama came out for gay marriage. The African American community rose about 30 points in favor of it within weeks of that decision! That is an astounding number. He did shape policy. First there was don't ask; don't tell. Then there was gay marriage. People need time to adjust.........a smart politician knows that. Obama and Clinton are some of the best politicians in this country. I trust their judgement.
