Just lost a long response to you but will try to summarize. I am not exaggerating at all when I say I bought a large position at 2.25 and have held ever since. I went to the annual meeting last year and was so utterly convinced that ABTX was going to kick tail that I wanted to double my position at a little over 3 but chickened out because it wasn't PRUDENT!!!!! (My wife and parents also threatened to disown me but, of course, I am now the genius). I think I lost a lot of my credibility a few months ago when I went berserk when John Francis hung up on me when I asked him why K. Gillespie was selling so many of her shares. (Any answer Anette?) My diatribe was enhanced by the superb Chablis I was sipping at the time. Anyway, my basic point is that anyone with any significant position should attend the annual meeting this year (Feb. 23, Las Vegas). It should be unbelievable!!! Every company bought out by ABTX will be there and will be available for questions. Last year there was only about 20 shareholders at the meeting and only about three who knew their tail from a hole in the ground and who knew what to ask management. I don't think the meeting will be much larger this year and it will be a great time to ask WL Research, Germains, Burlingham, Olsen-Fennell, Seed Corp. of America, LaCrosse Seed Co., etc. why they wanted to be bought out. Please come to Vegas!!!!

Hey Anette, why get on my time, it's Franky boy whom I think just called you an alkie. Hope I spelled it right, did not want to use the word drunk. Frank does have a way with words, does he not? I wonder if Frank knows what a black hole is, how about his thoughts on, well never mind, I might need Websters to translate. Has anyone seen Miller, wonder what he is up to these days. Enough small talk, think I will just hang around and watch ABTX defy gravity. With this company there are no strings attached. Have run off at the mouth to long already. Have a fun time all, for 98 is going to be a really GREAT year to own ABTX. Sorry Frank, there I go Again......Archie

Anette-

The Dain Bosworth Conference is Wednesday, December 3, 1997, at the Rihga Royal Hotel, 151 West 54th Street, NYC, NY. Don Francis is scheduled to make an ABTX presentation at 10:40 am. I am not sure if I will be able to attend, but will try to fit it into my schedule. Thank you for posting the original information regarding the conference.

regards,
glen

Anette,

It will be V.P. John C. Francis who will be making the ABTX presentation at the Dain
Bosworth Conference. I wanted to correct the error I made in my reply # 1023. There
is a Donald Francis, who is President of VaxGen Inc., but he is not involved with
ABTX.

When I called the NYC Dain Bostworth office today, I was told that they were not
even aware there was a Conference in NY. I guess they are strictly retail. Their
Minneapolis office seemed to be the only ones who knew what was going on in NY.
So, did you hear of the Conference from this office, or ABTX HQ? If the former, do
you speak with Bonnie Wittenburg, Dain's ABTX analyst?

regards,
glen
