This is no Reagan/Carter.
We had gas lines, odd even days, and 15% mortgage rates under Carter. People felt his incompetence directly. And he couldn't play the race card.

There are hundred of thousands of unemployed or underemployed young people and their families who would disagree with you. I have 5 kids, two out of college and two in still (and a HS student coming behind them).

Luckily my older two were and Engineer and an Architect and both found full time high paying jobs and are off my dime, but a lot of their peers are still at home.

The Carter years show that it can get worse - and something we all need to remember is we do not yet know the full impact of the debt crisis. Will we have Japanese stagflation for 20 years or Argentinian hyper-inflation?

Whatever we get will be worse if we re-elect the 'Amateur'.
