Steve,

Considering I own Dell stock its hard for me to make the comparisons between the two. When they do calculations for the game, everything gets blown out of proportion. Such as margins, etc. Expectations run extremely high for that game.

I think it was the notebooks that disappointed. I know its not ther servers. For a short while there, I got a flyer in from Dell, and the notebook prices was really down. I had just bought a notebook from another company, and I was annoyed. I can get a discount too on Dell stuff because they offer it to companies employees who use Dell products. Then a new flyer and that price was gone.

They've got expenses with all that new construction going on. As long as the margins stay up, thats my major concern.

Lots of bad press going on about the sub's not offering any profit to the companies. That will be dispelled also when CPQ's next report comes out. Then, of course, these sub's don't offer enuf so they will need to be upgraded immediately, etc. Fooey! The only thing anyone should do is buy 32 megs of ram. CPQ's sub offers plenty for the first time buyers, and I think they will get some second time around customers also.

Another thing, just say the words, oh, I'm selling my Compaq to any neighbors. The machine will never leave the block.
