With my daughter at home, getting ready for the day. We watched the second hit and I said to her, "this has to be terrorism." We watched the towers fall.

Just a week before, my office had moved out of the tallest building in Seattle, which easily could have been a target on the west coast.

My wife was in Miami for a conference, and got stuck there until the airspace opened up again.

Turned out my dad was in NY at the time and watched the buildings burn and fall from across the harbor.

That day changed us all.

I was in Juneau, Alaska getting ready for work. I went to work and we were all sent home shortly afterward. All air travel was shut down, which meant that field crews who were in camps had to stay there. Float planes in the air found an F-16 flying along side. It was eerie.

My brother-in-law's father, who survived the first attack on the WTC and retired before the second, lost 26 friends and colleagues in the attack.

My sister watched the towers rise from a few blocks away. She didn't see them fall.

I think it is important to acknowledge WHO DID THIS, and what they are. I do not think our country is obligated to tolerate groups from which terrorism emanates in the name of political correctness.

No reply? I think we talked

I recall the day vividly.

I remember talking with JorjX & JP days before the attack. The discussion was about the VIX and the reading of a 70+ target when it was sitting on the (I believe) 30's. This was a 2am call that I'll never forget.

Days later....the towers came down
