I don't know of a way someone could do that to you, unless they knew the password you used to log on to WebTV. Did the email to your friend sound like they knew either you or your friend? More than likely, it's an 'inside job'. Someone with access to your box (hehe, I said 'box').

Normally it is a lot of trouble to steal passwords, and people only do it to people that they don't know if there is a financial incentive. I've seen your stock picks and know you are piss-poor broke, so I don't think this is the case.
