Tim, my new box of 10 Zip disks with a Fuji label on them say on the box that these Zip disks use the new ATOMM technology (Advanced super Thin layer &high Output Metal Media technology) caps for emphasis... So you can go down to your local Computer City and pick up a box-a-ten Zip disks today with this same advanced media! I would imagine that this will be the same in the new Sony disks. Yes, I am a bit concerned about this new disk, but by the time it becomes a threat on the horizon (inside many OEMs) I project that there will be at least 25 million Zip drive sold and heaven knows how many Zip disks out there... the standard will have been established and the heck with backward (Stone Age) 1.44 MB compatibility. The acceptance of the laptop Zip will be well along by this time and having compatability with your Zip drive in your work station or SOHO system with drive even further sales of the Zip and probably the new and yet unannounced higher density Zip response to the Sony drive (maybe 250 to 300 MB). So we shall just have to wait and see how this story unfolds.

Holders of IOM as of tomorrow will get the split, so we may see some last minute upsurge in purchases tomorrow to make up for the Barrons mud slinging article. Long and Strong on IOM Think Clik!...... Mel
