You idiot..........I clearly stated that it had one of the smallest gov't deficits. I wasn't talking about the personal indebtedness of the Spaniards. Try not to run away from your original point, "Spain was one of the strongest economies when the recession started." Whose running? You conveniently edited out the most important aspect of what I said: When the recession started with the smallest ratio between deficits and GDP as compared to the rest of Europe and the US. Mel already poked a gigantic hole in that assertion, and you respond by hanging onto a distinction without a difference. Huh? Hanging onto a distinction without a difference? Did you seriously make that claim? The ratio between deficits and GDP is one of the biggest complaints your party has about the American deficit. You're right, tenchu.............you're engineering degree, assuming you have one, does not help you at all in these interactions. So sorry.
