I can't think of an industry that people in this country hate more than mining. Yet it is so necessary, and we outsource almost every job that needs it to other countries with minerals that need extracting. China has us by the throat right now on "rare earths" because we won't allow our sources for it to be mined at a profit. Australia is getting rich mining stuff we won't mine.

When the POTUS says the following the profit motive is right out the window and viewed as evil. People with talent, skills, ambition and money are in short supply and welcomed with open arms in other countries which is exactly where they should go.

"Focusing your life solely on making a buck shows a poverty of ambition. It asks too little of yourself. And it will leave you unfulfilled."
