My main interests in this presentation are:

Siri and its improvements. Frankly I've been a little disappointed in its performance/stability particularly of late.

Maps. If it's as good or better than Navigon I'll be happy. Personally I don't use features that people are complaining about like street view and transit though I know many do. I would hope/expect apple has a nice integrated replacement for transit from 3rd parties.

Passbook. I expect tons and tons of enterprises will be getting on board with this feature. It will likely become EXTREMELY useful over time.

A big surprise would be nice.

I have a feeling it's going to be anti-climactic, what with so much already leaked about the iPhone 5 and -- if past experience is anything to go by -- probably true. I just wish there is something in it that makes all the copycats rush screaming back to their respective R&D sewers, demanding a redesign of their products, wracking their brains how to top it. Whatever, I hope it goes on to sell more than all the other models combined ;-)
I don't think it can help being anti-climactic. Unless every one of those links was planted to throw us all off the trail.

I'm sure we'll hear a lot about how Apple has left the door open for competitors, iOS is stale, whatever. In addition to abundant praise, probably, as well, from different quarters.

It's all typical for these events.

I expect the new phone to be better in some meaningful ways, and worth the upgrade. That's all I expect. I don't expect it to change my life. Or even to blow my mind. And yes, I think it will sell.

> I have a feeling it's going to be anti-climactic,

Its ALWAYS anti-climactic. The Android folks crow about hardware and chips. The Apple folks slowly absorb the thinking behind the changes.

As I've said before its about balance, not brute strength.

Apple is into yoga not weightlifting. Its the bay area after all.
