Yes, mine is whether the philosophy will lead to good workable society. I spent many years designing and implementing real social programs for society. Many of them were brand new and just came out of my head. But Alaska uses the basic designs I thought up, 30 years ago, to this day.

So when I read a political philosophy, that is what I am looking for. E.g. I am sure you would agree Romney's ideas are nuts and not only won't work, but will greatly harm our society. I feel the same way about the Republican platform. It is nuts.

So where is the conservative social philosophy (and philosopher) that one can actually implement to make for a better society??
