This data is a few months old. Worldwide total of 56 Rigs capable of 3,000 feet or more. Here is a breakdown of the percentage of those rigs owned by each company.

Diamond Offshore - 19%
Transocean Offshore - 18%
Schlumberger - 13%
Reading & Bates - 13%
Noble Drilling - 11%
Falcon Drilling - 5%
Global Marine - 5%
Other - 16%

This list does not show what % these rigs are compared to the total fleet for each company, so it can not be used to predict the impact on each companies earnings on a % basis that a change in Dayrates would have, nor does it factor in if the rigs are signed for long-term contracts or are up for bid anytime soon. So, for picking one of two stocks to buy, i'm not sure that list is much use at all.
