In a word, yes. Slimeball. Watching Morning Joe and I just saw something you rarely see on TV a talking head, Chris Matthews, actually asking tough question of a Party apparatchik and not letting that apparatchik off the hook spouting inanities. Matthews literally called out Reince Pribus and the Republican party on their veiled racism re:Obama. He repeatedly insisted on national TV that the Republicans muttered claims of welfare work requirement, foreign birth, Muslim faith, foreign influence etc, were really about the President's race and that his supporters understand this when these things are brought up. That these undertones are really about that black man being in the oval office and not about anything substantive. Matthews would not let the Republican talking suit paper over Mitten's birth certificate statement as a lame joke(?). For once a pundit said something they believed to be the truth even if it means that Pribus will in all likelihood never come on his show again. Nobody has picked up on the fact that Brokaw was drugged at the time, and ended up in the hospital. I hope his attack of karma has taught him something. Updated at 1:19 p.m.: Tom Brokaw , the veteran NBC News correspondent, has been discharged from a Charlotte , N.C., hospital where he was taken earlier Thursday after he reported feeling lightheaded. Brokaw, 72, said he’d mistakenly taken an Ambien on the same morning he was making an appearance on MSNBC ’s “Morning Joe.” latimes.com
