You may recall about a year +/- after 9/11 our intel services estimated their strength at 5-10% of 1.4 Billion Muslim people. I think that the number was and is, seriously underestimated. And the muslim population in the western world has exploded (excuse the pun) since 9/11. Have we let the fox in the henhouse or is it a giant trojan horse or did we invite the vampire into our homes. Whatever the allegory, we have invited the enemy into our midst. But you are right, we have a nation where half of the population is dangerously naive about world affairs.
