He received $15,000 for the "work". It was a photograph of a small plastic crucifix in a plastic cup filled with his own urine.

Sounds like we are talking about $25 worth of materials. Probably took him 20 seconds to evacuate his bladder into the cup, another 40 seconds to put the crucifix in the urine and then, to be generous, let's give him an hour of photographic processing. So, an hour and a minute of work.

Does $15,000 qualify as "funding" or is it just a subsidy?
