Well, after my IT dept ordered the wrong video adapter for my MBA and I needed one in a hurry since I was to do a presentation in a couple of days, I ordered a nonApple one via Amazon on my own dime. Figured if it didn't work I could run to the Apple store for a "real" one. Looks like the Apple one except for nuances (no labels on it), worked well, did not break when I accidentally dropped it and stepped on it (as I usually do with technology, rare objects and small animals :-)) and it cost half the price. Oh yeah it was white and in the middle of the presentation it did NOT suddenly display ads for cheap v!@gr@
