The world may be awash with confused people. It seems odd to me that each of the Jew, Christian and Muslim groups thinks that the others are bowing in the wrong direction when it comes to God. This occurs even though they all share the Decalogue, where the first entry simply says "Thou shalt have no other gods before me."

We can only guess how people in old times thought about such things. But we know that their churches, mosques and temples were the tallest and grandest in the land, with domes/spires of gold and walls of the best marble. If you go to Europe you see grand, old churches, or their remains. You do not see grand old banks. This is also true of the Levant, and further east, with mosques and temples.

How do people in modern times think? Worth some wonder.

Do the Jews, Christians and Muslims know who the God of the modern man is? What do the tallest buildings represent?

:)

Just a very simple Google snapshot. Just type in "are the tallest buildings banks" or something close.

It's wise not to think of enemies as insane. What they want is power over you, enslavement of you, or to prevent you doing that to them. In tribal conflict, it's normal and rational to sacrifice pawns to achieve victory. The pawns themselves are fully aware of being pawns but go for the greater good, surviving if they can. By doing that, they propagate their dna at the expense of opponents. <Yea, the violent Islamic response is insane. >

Islamic invasion of Europe is proceeding apace. There were several mosques in the area of London I lived. They have got the British running scared. The same with Denmark. They have murdered a Van Gogh [which is about as Dutch as you can get]. They had better be circumspect about Germany which is prone to react violently to foreign depredations such as to the Roman Empire and all comers since. They launch a few depredations of their own. There's a sense in which the USA is an arm of Germany [I noticed that a few decades ago] though it's purportedly an extension and enlargement of England. The USA behaves in a quite teutonic way. It's not the free and easy realm it's given to be. It is seriously punitive and rigid in thinking.

There is potential for a lot of history in the 21st century. First up, financial relativity theory and Big Government and Big Brother gobbling opm faster than it has been produced. They have run out of serfs. Greece is fine-tuning their government processes, running on borrowed time and more borrowed money. But those suppliers of credit are running out of time and opm too.
