She's BACK! Thank God, I thought the thread was going to die on the vine after deep discussions of Bilbo and his latest adventure's. :-) So you survived the freezing cold of the Northeast huh Miss Penni? The markets have been moving sideways since your departure. Japan, Korea and all the problems of the far east seem to be waying heavy on investors minds. Funny how quickly things change in less than a decade. 10 years ago everyone in America was worring about the Japanese buying up all our Real Estate. And now their losing their shirt trying to unload it. Japan Inc. Must face the facts that insulating their economy and consumers from the rest of the world is a formula for disaster. Times have indeed changed. America is at full employment, inflation is dead, and the deficit so many people thought would destroy us, now seems manageable. Of course all those doom and gloom authors of the late 80's are now shifting their processors to Global Warming. Michael

May I remind you, ma cherie, that upon obtaining my winnings you immediately Friday morning at the opening sank the bulk of the loot into oil stock puts??? with margin to boot? I have already received the margin call from the broker. And you sadly neglected to set aside the withholding tax from the Principality, and I am now the subject of a request for extradition and the freezing of my assets. Well, we'll do fine if someone plants a nuclear warhead on eastern Saudi Arabia.
