Yes, there are always winners. But in the US, we used to pride ourselves on a vibrant and large middle class with upward mobility potential. Increasingly, we're looking more and more like all the banana Republics, where you have a top 1% wealthy as Croesus and everyone else barely scraping by and unable to make enough to save for their retirement years. Ah well. We get what we are educated enough to strive for.
