I think Noonen was talking about when Nixon was cornered by Watergate? She sort of mixed messages.

I had mentioned I thought Romney looks strained. He has had a long campaign and is tired I am sure. Then Ryan didn't work out, he just caused more problems for Romney as he cannot explain his ideas in a politically acceptable manner, the RNC was a bust, the DNC was a hit, his poll numbers are falling and now his own party is jumping on him.

Just a guess?
