I could never get a clear picture in my head why the Mayor of Ten Sleep would not endorse and or praise the company as requested awhile back. Let me see now. The contract to give away 50000 gals of water and then charge only 0.02 per gallon thereafter per month is what, three years old? And a strong interest by BIG TIME corporations has emerged since then. Makes you wonder if Ten Sleep is having second thoughts about the deal they cut. Maybe it would be in their best interests to say bye bye to RMIL. Think they may be being courted by others? I hope we've have a hole-proof agreement. Maybe RMIL could sub the production to Coke. Perhaps they could sub it to COKE, I personally do not feel they will have to for the water is 8 times purer than Perrier, which owns 27% of a growing market that they will be able to take away. I think Ten Sleep is angry because they want some more jobs, not necessarily the money, but patience is the key. Have you ever visited Wyoming, those people are not in the rat race like most of America, Money is not issue number one, but taking care of their own and being happy with life. After things get rolling, I feel the town will forgive and will support their new company. I have seen many times in my own town, in an attempt to foster growth for jobs, where concessions were made and not delivered, and the town was angry, but after things got going, the anger subsided and the town was happy, and as for these Large companies like Coke coming in, I do not know how the small local community of Ten Sleep feels about it, but again in my own town they would rather have a smaller company with local people working at the facility and that had a strong dependence on the town and its citizens , than a behemoth like Coke come in with their high flying billion dollar corporate ways and if needed could move 100's of people in to work things if the city did not see things their way. Small towns are very protective and want control over their business partners, would Ten Sleep have more control over Coke or RMIL, if the town folk picketed for higher wages with RMIL they could probably get it, but if they did so with Coke, Coke could fire everyone locally and bring in people from other cities. You have got to remember we are talking about Wyoming folk in a small town and not New York City, just because Coke wants in, does not mean they get in, for I am sure the town knows once you open that door to companies like Coke, if things go wrong it is much harder to get rid of them. Go visit some smaller towns and talk to the local chambers of commerece and industrial authorities.
