One thing Jony Ive said at the presentation that really struck a chord with me is that they take making changes in their devices very seriously because it affects people's lives. Contrast this with the competition with their ever bigger, brighter, louder, whatever releases for the sake of having a new product to sell and you'll see why Apple continues to remain head and shoulders above the rest -- all IMHO, of course ;-) I totally agree and I am glad you mentioned it. Moreover, I think their manufacturing costs might be a bit better since they don't have to spend the money on making such large screens :). I am not sure who pays more because Apple is all glass and aluminum and the copycats are all plastic.
