greg, I never said that..never used the word all. and in 18 months the p266mmx is a 1000 dollar box and it will be loaded. heck the loaded p233 is down to 1499 now. wake up boy... I will not be wrong...the p266 is sub 1000 soon. greg, if you don't have a MIS dept. that is commited to absolutley excededing your expectations then..that's not my fault.... the goals shoudl be instant. example. the Mrp/crp regen time in 1961 was 48 hrs on the biggest IBM . and that was the net change. It evolved and I had it down to 2-3 hrs at cpq on a mini no less and that was complete regen... then most corps that were at 6 billion dollar corp had an 8 hr regen then to my 2-3 hr regen. okay..I didn't accept those limitations... it was finally done in 23 seconds for cpq on the complete regen. in 1989 on a server not mini. Until it got to seconds it never really help users like it was designed. before you knock the 10 second regen process of planning data. Dell was so impressed with this capability they bought it world-wide in 1994-5. And , it's part of their inventory management system. It also runs on dell server. So, if you want to accept the limitations and the barriers as absolute,,,,fine.but, thank goodness some don't accept the sh-- handed to them as normal. Not criticizing you for thinking this way...but, do resent you crticizing me for wanting to absolutely exceed user expectations with the systems they use to get the job down. Every p200 I buy at work in 4 yrs will become a data collection pc over single process pc on factory floor and for systems i invent in future. It's stupid and a waste of money to buy them p266-p300's now when their performance will not be effected by that capital. I buy the engr's and super users those boxes right now. If we line all the users up..it's not a close race as to who they want representing them and spending their money on MIS.
