The video and similar things are used as a trigger mechanism by it's not really about that.

It reminds me of when the Paula Jones story came out. The original story wasn't even from her. She just wanted to point out for the record that a state trooper did take her to Clinton's hotel room, but she didn't have sex with him as the story implied. Rather than simply saying, "No comment" (because a gentleman doesn't kiss and tell, and anyway there's real business to talk about), the Clinton White House called her a liar because that was how they handled every bimbo eruption.

This movie story is somewhat the same. Rather than "condemning" an "offensive" movie as "abuse" of free speech, every U. S. government official from Obama to Hillary to Larry Schwartz should've said, "Can't comment, haven't seen it, and haven't any interest in seeing it since I'm busy with other things." (By the way, also haven't seen the Batman movie which apparently triggered even more American casualties, so can't comment on that either.)
