I think (R)'s who believe in American exceptionalism need to be made aware that people in other countries are just as smart as we are, MORE motivated to work their asses off, and that we are now in an economic global dogfight, and it's likely to stay that way for a century.

We're running on accumulated wealth and fumes. Our stock market reflects foreign success as much as our own.
