In a global community where people from the 14th century own something of concern to us 21st century elites (like oil and an arsenal of nuclear bombs), it behooves us to figure whose nose we can poke in public, and what should be stopped. We talk about dawg whistles in politics; this is like the biggest bell in the world, and it was only to stir up trouble, and that shouldn't be, but, if you don't break any laws, it is.
People get fired for saying "Nwird" . There's stuff we don't allow in a decent society, and yet, we can't touch this.

Like I've got an answer, aside from choppering this guy into Mecca.
