NWLI/ANAT: Ha,ha. I see him in his job possibly outliving me... outliving my patience anyway. I was reluctant to say if Mr Moody Sr "dies", because I felt it would put me in the churlish position of seeming to hold the stock only waiting for the guy to die so the stock might pop on the news.

Maybe instead of using "retiring" (for "dying"), I should just have said it this way: "the stock would perhaps do better if there was ever news of a new ceo appointment."

Granted the Moody family controls. There may be more options for the family and the minority stockholders if there's new or different (more vigorous?) management team in place though. Who knows?

Meanwhile, NWLI stated book value continues to increase. Price/bv seems to be at lows now.
Stated bv for ANAT seems to have fluctuated more over past few years -- it's apparently rising now. Again though, like some other insurance companies, p/stated bv seems to be at lows.
