It changed during the Reagan years and years following them. As late as the 1970's we had folks in Congress who loved this country over their party to utter those famous words: "Mr President, what did you know and when did you know it."

Now after the Reagan years that partisans thought that what Nixon did was similar to what Clinton did. That is ridiculous to equate what a person does in his personal life to what someone does to use the power of public office to suppress the democratic process and win the elections unfairly.

So I blame Reagan for using that disastrous phrase "Govt. is the problem."


Its clear something has changed..........and the Reagan years were definitely a pivotal point. The Obama presidency unwittingly has served to highlight those changes in bold. That's why I think there is so much anger these days.
