A technical look at the sector:I like all the bearish remarks on the thread.I am invested in EVI but I am aware that EVI and fellow stocks could get whipped some more.Technically I have very few buy signals on any of these stocks. They are all oversold but stocks can stay o/s for weeks.EVI is one that I'm getting a buy signal,RON too.Although the charts on these 2 co's are looking more positive, one bad day could wipe that out and send them spiraling again.Nevertheless, one has to figure that a bottom is in here somewhere and we have seen the 1st half at least of a correction. Thus,we are not atsuch lofty heights and the fall will not be too great if we do get ushered back into the torture chamber. Also,OPEC's news is out,Iraq's news is out and the mysteries are over for now.I think that's good to get all that junk out of the way and have facts to base investments on.GD

Lucretius, would you please give me a little more information on NE's share buy back?

They plan to repurchase 8 million shares, have any been purchased yet?

Are they buying back now or letting it go lower before buying them?

Will those shares be subtracted from the number of shares used in calculating Earnings Per Share?

TIA
