I will say that you are probably as centrist as I am. Leftists don't see me as centrist because the center is so far from their opinion. I see more than a little ways between your views and mine. I see a similar difference between your views and the mainstream left. We both have agreed for a long time that our proclivity to spend more as a society than we generate in revenue has the potential to ruin this nation. Now that debt has exceeded $16,000,000,000,000 the problem is more immediate than in the past. We probably do not agree on the priority of programs to cut. At least we can agree to disagree amicably. Though now that we are spending over a Trillion more dollars than we did five years ago on the same revenues it is time for cuts that partisans previously would have called draconian. It is time for people who love America to come together to solve the problem that has been building for decades.
