...while I'm being talkatve ....there is always an invariable tendency in a stock like this to either deify ( great tradition of invention - huge potential) or demonize ( bullshit stock and company). Ampex is neither divine nor demonic. It is now a tiny little company working hard at surviving ( and they are doing a hell of a job at that ) and struggling to grow - taking what they see to be their best shots. They will survive. They may well succeed at growth, still possibly to a tremendous degree. Or like so many talented, hard working, honest people that suffer from too little recognition and acceptance , or who simply have terrible timing in the world - they may fail.
