Thanks for the reply. I do remember the 70's and the "nifty Fifty". Fortunately for me during most of the 70's bear market I was at school at WSU and working at the TV station on the weekends. My folks remember those years well as they were active investors at the time.

The market has had a good run for the last 15 years, it has been pretty easy to make money. But things are starting to change.

The Asian flu is going to get the world "sick" to some degree. How much I do not know. My gut is saying we will have interest rate cuts in March or April.

The tech side is definately very interesting and also very volatile. This stuff is not for the "faint of heart". Even us engineer types can totally miss a turn. But I have learned one thing. I try to stick to things that I can understand. There is a lot of things I would like to dabble in but have no understanding of.

Thanks again and good investing,

Eric
