Glen, from what I've heard, GIFS is in receivership by the State of Tenn. The little bit of assets that the State has been able to recover probably will go towards paying the state its cost in the seizing operation, some attorney's fee not to mention scamed bond holders as well. You want to ask "Tonto" on this thread if he has any document that states GIFS is history. There use to be a document on the old GIFS website which was placed there by the state before they pulled the plug. I am simply going to place a sell value of "zero" and add a note that the company is in recievership and is no longer viable on my taxes. You can get a letter from your broker stating that he tried but is unable to sell the GIF securities. That should be enough documentation for you. Good luck.
