TJ, that quarry looks much more efficient than those quarries of Easter Islanders who made moais.

And with much better profits too since all the Rapanui gang could do is array the moais around the island ready for tourists to come and buy them. Unfortunately for them, Chilean slavers came instead as the tourism market was slow to develop in the sailing ship era.

<assumption on gold pricing is USD 1,500, all resulting in a fairy tale 80+% IRR, >

With returns like that, it seems quite a gold digging culture could develop in a short time.

<iow all-in we are paying 47% of what all the stuff can be replaced at.>

iow competitors could join in, pay full freight on new equipment and whatnot, leaving IRR numbers of good proportions.

Wow , congrats , you really are rolling up those sleaves & the dream becomes reality. Thanks J for sharing all that info will be much fun to follow along (with Maurice kabitzing!) only wish you great success & good joss, looks well planned & a good team . Lately the other goldmine has been stocks with AAPL , Financials , Alpha momos running up hard again , even the coals bouncing 30% plus anything gold related .

Since $Au looked a bit toppy , perhaps needing to rest , started fading some of the PM action after last friday's final exhaustion push up only on a scalp basis yesterday for most of these miners have popped pretty far up but only see this as sideways action for now & slight pullbacks . Just been so busy lately for these rapidly changing themes have offered the most amazing opportunities into the ECB/ Fed decision last week which some bets paid off with rather huge returns if one positioned & pursued into fridays bear stomping romp, combined with AAPL's delivery of good news for modern man , a new & improved iPhone !

Think you're well in the money so start those dozers digging , easy seeing Au even topping $2k in coming months as hoped for economic recoveries will truely require the long sustained easing they just announced . Aside from other risk factors geopolitical & China recovery . Fortunately they got an abrupt pullback in Oil yesterday afternoon that was approaching recovery threatening '$100' levels again . Had been taking shorts in one oil & gas stock that was being very stubborn when EOD oil plunged $3 in mini flash crash , shorts on this then paid off excellently .

To save $ on exploration the link below is by a fellow Australian Golden Eagle Mining . They have used a newer Geochemical test to find buried ore deposits . If a drill rig costs 5 - 10 thous /wk you can do most of the preparation with this test for maybe 50 $ a sample . Scroll down 1/2 the page to start at MMI Geochemistry .
