If a full energy audit is done, there are less emissions by burning lignite to generate power than from wind turbines:
-emissions from mining coal to make steel
-emissions from transporting coal
-emissions from mining iron ore
-emissions from transporting iron ore to steel mill
-emissions from making steel
-emissions from transporting steel
-emissions from steel fabrication and casting
-emissions from transporting wind turbine
-emissions from erecting turbine
-emissions from turbine maintenance

cost of energy to do all the above......just burn the coal as it is far more environmentally friendly....and that is because coal has a high energy density.........wind and solar are only good for remote sites only, and for nutters who want to live off the grid.
