Romney spoke the truth about the 47%. If he will continue to stand by this remark, I will vote for him. If he starts pulling away from it, I will not. The dependency on the government by half of this country (and growing) will eventually be the end of this country. Glad someone is finally taking a stand on this. Printing money and kicking the can down the road needs to stop as well.

It's was the point of what he said. I know you guys want to make hay out of the words he chose, but the fact is that he wanted to point out that Independents are where this election will be won. And he is right, the folks who want a large welfare check are probably not going to vote for him, because he stands for a smaller government. Were his words chosen poorly? Yes. It made him vulnerable to attack by the Dems. Welcome to the politics of character assassination.

It was the same with Obama. He said, "you didn't build that", which the GOP loved, because now they can call him a Communist. But the context was he was trying to convey the idea that government has an important role to play and so do communities and social structures. The in sum total it is the successful infrastructure and environment in the US that makes entrepreneurship possible.

So what I'd advise you is that you take a look at context and get less fooled by these partisan political games that each party plays.
