EKS - Everyone can be wrong hahaha. but i appreciate the disclaimer. There has been lot of M&A happening with land properties lately, but its mostly divestitures to restructure balance sheets or pure M&A.Those who are buying are looking at it as a value buy for future profits.

If not, then people are trying to play it in a different way. NBR for example got rig contracts to drill for YPF. Argentina ( who now owns YPF) is looking at making the falklands an LNG hub to export gas to peeps like japan, where gas is selling at north of $12 per million btu. so you can play O&G that way.

So the question is - they do have land, how are they going to monetize it? so unless we are just investing for a quick trade, that questions of monetization needs to be answered.
