For those of you that don't seem to quite understand the split thing

Tomorrow is a non-event. All holders of IOM through December 22 will receive the dividend. So, don't go looking for anything monumental happening tomorrow (unless there's additional news).

The December 1 date is an internal Iomega thing only.

Re: Sony HiFd

Has anyone stopped to think that if Iomega's base keeps increasing 1 MM units per month, and more OEMs include Zips as standard equipment, and retail on the Zip keeps dropping like it is THAT Sony may very well decide not to go forward with its plans?

Don't forget that Iomega is not getting $99/unit from OEMs for the Zip. So, what's Sony going to do - sell theirs for less? Remember, it'd have to be much less. They'd have to sell an awful lot of these @ $29 to OEMs for them to make any money at all.

And, for those of you that may note the weakness of the Yen, giving Sony the ability to do this profitably, remember Iomega manufactures out there too. Thus, no advantage for Sony.

In my book, all is looking quite good these days for KE.
