I intend to comment further on your post re Microsoft's relationships with partner licensees of Windows phone, (and in particular with Nokia) and I will probably do so on the SI Windows Phone board.

In the interim I agree that (as might have been expected) "HTC appears to be coming out the gate very strong" since there is no way Steve Ballmer would snub Cher Wang and Peter Chou, and no way they would short change Microsoft. Their important mutual strategic relationship predates the Nokiasoft strategic relationship by many a year.
