Is it any surprise that Obama is pushing the class warfare rhetoric? Obviously in your example an increase from 170,000 cars sold to 184,000 as a result of every employee buying one is a far sight from the 500,000 cars they grew to as a result of efficiencies. Also, employees can't buy a new car every year. Even today vehicles are generally considered to be a durable good with a life expectancy of three or more years even by the most active vehicle lessees.

Clearly Obama believes in redistribution. If it causes famine and death it will be someone else's fault. He would have a difficult time getting anyone to believe it was PResident Bush's fault, but that is not likely to stop him from trying.
