To All Fellow Traders:

I ask these questions as an amateur and novice trader and traveler. I have just returned from Puerta Vallarta and yes I had a great time etc.. While I was there I stole a couple of looks at the Mexican papers and local people and was taken aback by the level of poverty in this vast country. I know I was in a very small part of Mexico but it seemed very rich with a people proud of their heritage and also very hard workers. My first question is how can a country so poor even have an outside chance at being part of NAFTA let alone being granted in?
Secondly, if Mexico is part of NAFTA they must have earned their way in and keeping this in mind, with money market rates around 14%,
why wouldn't investors needing a place to put their money if not in
US equities not put their money in Mexican Money Market at 14%?

Another Interesting ANALyst view Read this one Carefully Re: PHYC
NEW YORK, Nov 3 (Reuters) - Morgan Stanley upgraded PhyCor Inc <PHYC.O> to strong buy from outperform, the broker said Monday.

PhyCor's share price is down 20 percent following last week's announcement that the company plans to acquire MedPartners Inc <MDM.N>.

Morgan Stanley analyst Todd Richter said the stock was upgraded despite "the fact that we do not completely understand the rationale for the acquisition, and though the purchase looks like a significant departure from PhyCor's strategy."

PhyCor was trading up 1 at 24-1/16.
