Syl,

Judging from many popular blogs, my greater fear is that Nokia will run over HTC, not the reverse. The Lumia 920 is clearly the phone to have this year.

I am very impressed with HTC's new phones. I think they will stand on their own merits; the rounded case backs, and adorable looks and colors and fantasic audio features really stand out.

Throw in the mother of all marketing capaigns that is about to hit for Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8.

My feeling is that Apple i5 sales are going to fall short of analyst expectations... the phone has already fallen short in so many other ways.

The Apple fanboys laugh claiming nobody cares about what the tech blogs and technophiles express their love for, think the general populace doesn't care features like open standards (USB ports), best of breed technology, wireless charging, NFC, replacable batteries, covers, upgradable memory, processor speed. Choice will win. Apple's momentum will only carry it so far. There is clearly no more wind in its sails. I really just can't believe how little innovation is coming out of Cuppertino nowdays. There isn't even some poorly implemented over-hyped new feature for us to make fun of. Its just the same phone. And it really is crap.
